Bay leaf represents the element of Fire, the Sun, and thus masculine energy. It also represents the deities Apollo, Ceres, and Eros. Use bay leaf for general protection and cleansing, and to entice strength and healing. This is a great herb to use during Winter Solstice, or Yule, to cleanse and protect for the new year ahead, but can be used at any time. It also smells DIVINE!
