The Long Bast Liberty of London, print blocked dress is the perfect summer piece. It is sewn in the lightest cotton lawn for a light, floaty feeling. It is bias cut and features a deep scoop neckline with ties, as well as a contrasting pattern sleeve, front, back, and side triangle panels. Custom 18K gold twice-plated buttons are found on the cuffs. The feminine shape makes it universally flattering, and the fine cotton is perfect for wear in warmer climates or even poolside.
Bast was an Egyptian goddess of protection and the rising sun. Incredibly feminine and maternal, she was linked to music, dance, and perfume. Images of her likeness were kept in homes across Egypt as protection against thieves, and was often represented by the figure of a lioness.
