“Undoubtedly the most cheering underthings in the land.”—The Guardian
“Extremely comfortable and high quality. A sustainable way to refresh your basic wardrobe staple.”—GQ Magazine
“Playful yet classy socks. A fun spin on a classic.”—The Scotsman
A pair of luxurious socks suitable for both men and women, in sizes to fit both. In this instance, luxurious is hardly an overstatement. From the engineering and manufacturing of the socks to the sourcing of materials, every detail has been obsessively perfected. The socks were designed and produced under license from The Shakespeare’s Globe Trust.
Each combed cotton sock is crafted for comfort and durability. They are woven with 200 needles, the highest gauge used on socks. Due to the density of this weave, the socks are not only finer but also stronger than most. The toe of each sock is hand linked (hand finished) to the body of the sock for maximum comfort (no lumpy seam). Finally, the socks are finished with a honeycomb welt (the top band) for a more comfortable, flexible fit around the calf.
Four choices available. Each order is one pair of socks. Choose among:
Macbeth: grays, with the king in kilt.
Caesar: shades of royal purple, with the emperor in a toga.
Romeo & Juliet: Shades of plum, the star-crossed lovers’ balcony scene.
Hamlet: dusty dark blue, khaki, and pale gray, the prince depicted. Bravo!

About the brand’s sustainability and standards:
The company that designs and manufacturers these socks is a member of the UK’s Institute for Sustainability leadership, which has helped the brand continue to implement the highest ethical environmental and labor standards.
Each pair of socks is made from specially curated, luxurious combed cotton, which is sourced through carefully-selected yarn partners in Turkey, which are all members of the Better Cotton Initiative. All of the cotton comes from farms which are proactively regenerating the environment and meeting best-practice standards. The partners are also Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified. This standard stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecological and labor conditions in textile and clothing manufacturing, using organically produced raw materials. Finally, the cotton meets a minimum of the OKEO-TEX 100 standard, which means the cotton is free from chemicals which are harmful to humans or the environment.
